In this video, one angry inmate decides to take on a dozen Cook County sheriff’s officers. They show us the use and limits of OC Spray (pepper spray) as well as how hard it is to restrain someone who really doesn’t want to be restrained!The Cook County Sheriff’s Office released a video Thursday of an inmate at Cook County Jail attacking multiple correctional officers before being apprehended. The four-minute-long video captured on August 24 shows an inmate grabbing a correctional officer’s leg and pulling him to the ground before being tackled by three officers.
After the officers stepped away the inmate can be seen pacing around the room before attacking another officer from behind. Around six officers using pepper spray to stop the prisoner before grabbing him, punching him in the head and tackling him once more.Three correctional deputies were treated for injuries that were not life threatening, authorities said. The 31-year-old inmate, Austin Allen, was charged with aggravated battery and two counts of felony resisting, the sheriff’s department said. He was originally in jail for a domestic battery case.
